As I am sure you know, puffins mate for life, returning after a winter at sea to the exact burrow to reunite with the same mate. When they greet each other they rub their beaks together. I don't care about the science cynics who say we anthropomorphize - it's lovely.
This series of artworks is a celebration of love. Not the heady love of a new romance but the security, warmth and joy of long term love.
When I made this artwork called Reunion, I was thinking about getting to see your partner after a long absence and the joy this brings.
